[07/31] hiking in Castle Rock State Park this Saturday, July 31

Dear Friends,

We will have a hiking trip to Castle Rock State Park this Saturday, July 31. This hiking is easy-to-moderate with a round-trip distance of 4.7 mile and 1000 feet evalation change. For more information for the hiking trail, you can visit the following web site:

For this trip, we will first gather at Milpitas 99 Ranch Market (338 Barber Lane, Milpitas, CA) at 1:30pm. After that, we will meet again at the park parking lot at 2:30pm (the park entrance fee is $8 per car). We will hike for about 3 hours and come back around 5:30pm. We will have an optional dinner in Milpitas after the hiking.

The driving direction is below.
1. Head southeast on Barber Ln toward Alder Dr 0.6 mi
2. Take the 1st right onto Alder Dr 0.2 mi
3. Take the 1st right onto E Tasman Dr 0.2 mi
4. Turn right to merge onto I-880 S 7.3 mi
5. Continue onto CA-17 S 4.4 mi
6. Take the exit onto CA-85 N toward Mountain View 3.3 mi
7. Take the Saratoga Ave exit 0.3 mi
8. Turn left at Saratoga Ave 1.9 mi
9. Continue onto Big Basin Way 0.6 mi
10. Continue onto CA-9 S/Congress Springs Rd 1.9 mi
11. Turn right to stay on CA-9 S/Congress Springs Rd 4.8 mi
12. Turn left at CA-35 S/Skyline Blvd 2.5 mi
